Ralph P. Katz, MD is Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who
specializes in adult spinal disorders. He is one of a few local
surgeons who performs both cervical and lumbar disc replacements. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including small incision micro discectomies and kyphoplasties on an out-patient basis. He also uses small incision and / or minimally invasive systems to accomplish cervical and
lumbar spinal fusions.
Dr. Katz is currently a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orhopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the North American Spine Society. Dr. Katz is also
a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. He is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine where he received a Masters Degree in Anatomy
in 1987, and his M.D. in 1990. He completed his Surgical internship
at Tulane and his residency at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Katz also completed a Fellowship in Trauma / Spine. He joined Westside Orthopaedic Clinic in 1996 and practices at West Jefferson Medical Center.
Dr. Katz resides in New Orleans with his wife and son.

Chris J. DiGrado, MD, MBA is a graduate of LSU School of Medicine. He completed a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University and a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at University of Louisville. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine. He holds a membership in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Louisiana State Orthopaedic Association and Arthroscopy Association of North America. His practice concentration includes surgery of the upper extremity and hand. He specializes in the small incision technique in repairing shoulder rotator cuff tears. Dr. DiGrado is also a deacon assigned to St. Patrick Church in New Orleans.

Fernando L. Sanchez, MD received his doctorate in 1988.
He then went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham to perform Orthopaedic research, a General Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He completed an Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Fellowship at Arlington Virginia in 1999 and published articles in several medical journals, as well as contributed to several textbooks like the “Insall Knee Book”.
His practice concentration is in total joint replacement specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. He also is one of only a few surgeons that specialize in joint revisions.
In addition, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine.
