Westside Orthopaedic Clinic - Patient Information

To Make an Appointment:
The clinic's office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Keep in mind, however, that times and days can vary for each treating physician. Appointments are scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. To make an appointment, call 504-349-2929 between these hours. Remember, if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call to reschedule within 24 hours.

What to do in an Emergency:
If you need emergency assistance during office hours, call the main clinic number, 504 347-0243. At least one physician is available for emergency treatment throughout regular office hours. Also, after hours, on weekends and on holidays, the physician on call can be reached through our answering service at the same number 24 hours a day.

Prescription Refills:
To have your prescription refilled, please have your pharmacist call 504-349-2927 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The physician on duty will not be able to refill prescriptions after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends or holidays.

Talking to your Physician:
Feel free to call the clinic at any time if you feel you must talk with your physician. Unless you have an emergency, it is usually not possible for him to speak with you immediately. However, leave your name, a number where you can be reached, and a brief message about your problem. The physician or nurse will return your call sometime before the end of the business day.
