Chris J. DiGrado, MD, MBA Chris J. DiGrado, MD, MBA is a 1973 graduate of LSU School of Medicine. After completing a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University in 1978, he performed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Louisville.

Dr. DiGrado entered clinical practice in New Orleans and was board certified in 1979. He served as a clinical instructor at Tulane University and Michigan State University. He holds membership in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, www.aaos.org, Louisiana State Orthopaedic Association, Arthroscopy Association of North America, www.aana.org, and the American Association of Physician Executives.

Dr. DiGrado's practice concentration includes arthroscopic surgery, shoulder surgery, sports medicine and surgery of the hand. A New Orleans native, he and his family reside in Algiers.

Fernando L. Sanchez, MD Fernando L. Sanchez, MD is a graduate of Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud, Colombia. He performed his Rotational Internship at General Hospital Medellin, Colombia, then went to the University of Alabama in Birmingham to perform his General Internship, Orthopaedic Research and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He completed an Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Fellowship in Arlington, Virginia and has published articles in several medical journals, as well as contributed to several textbooks like the Insall Knee Book. Presently he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tulane Medical Center.

Ralph P. Katz, MD Ralph P. Katz, MD graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine where he received a M.S. in Anatomy in 1987 and a M.D. in 1990. His surgical internship followed at the Tulane division of Charity Hospital. From 1991 through 1995, Dr Katz trained at the University of Iowa. After his residency, he did a fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology with an emphasis on spine surgery.

Dr. Katz joined Westside Orthopaedic Clinic in 1996. He specializes in trauma and spinal disorders, but enjoys general orthopaedics. Dr. Katz offers innovative microscopic and minimally invasive spinal procedures such as microscopic lumbar disc surgery, fusions and a new minimally invasive treatment of compression fractures in the spine, for the elderly.

He is currently a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the North American Spine Society. Dr. Katz practices at West Jefferson Medical Center.

A native of New Orleans, he currently lives in the city.
